Hello Sawmill Family,

In continuing to work on our communication, I’m excited to share a few updates and announcements this week as we continue to open and enhance our beautiful park:

We are officially 90% open! We’re thrilled to announce that all cabins and RV sites are open as of Friday. This marks a significant step forward for us as we continue to recover and improve the park. Next Friday, we’ll celebrate with a Grand Opening for

Cowboy Weekend! This annual event will bring in the sexy cowboy calendar men from all over the country, so dust off those boots and get ready for a fantastic weekend ahead.

Coconut Internet Credit from LumenFor those on Coconut affected by last month’s internet outage, Lumen will be issuing a credit for the service interruption. We understand how important connectivity is and appreciate your patience as we resolved this issue.

Halloween 1 Soft Opening Success! Our Halloween 1 Soft Opening was a spooky success! Congratulations to our costume winner! A huge shoutout to Randy Carnahan , John Holt , Ricky Edwards, Jim/ John and site 126 for bringing energy and excitement to the Trailer Crawl, and our thanks go to Jorge and all the amazing volunteers who helped create a thrilling Haunted House experience. I speak for everyone when I say it felt so good to see guest back in the park!

New Menu Items at Lucy’sTry our latest menu addition: Ropa Vieja! This flavorful dish features delicious roast pork on a bed of rice, served with black beans—a must-try while it’s on the menu! This amazing dish that made its debut last weekend will be back next Thursday!

Reservations UpdateAfter taking guest feedback to heart, we’re making improvements to the Reservations process. While our Reservations currently hold a B rating, I believe we can raise that standard by focusing more on guest satisfaction. We’ll be launching a trial Reservations Office with a dedicated agent responsible solely for managing reservations, addressing guest inquiries, and ensuring that all site assignments are accurate. This change will allow Lucy’s to handle other tasks, such as day passes, gate issues, and more, with greater ease.

Well Inspection

We’re committed to ensuring safe, clean water for everyone here at Sawmill! In addition to regular testing by Suncoast Environmental, I personally accompanied inspectors from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) this week. They conducted thorough tests on our wells and water treatment system, and I’m pleased to announce that our water quality passed every test, both at the wells and at the residential units!

Additional Park Updates

  • Laundry Reopening: Our laundry facilities will be up and running next week, making it easier to keep fresh during your stay.

  • Congratulations: A big congratulations to Mike Troyan on the sale of lot 704! We also welcome the Goulet Family and congratulate Matt Contento on the sale of lot 802 to the Belmore Family. It’s always wonderful to see new faces joining our community, we will miss both Matt and Mike!

  • Ricky Lake Power Line: A downed power line near Ricky Lake is scheduled for repair. We know it doesn’t look great right now, but Withlacoochee will be addressing it soon.

  • River Update: You might have noticed water levels going down quickly—thanks to Hernando County’s efforts in pumping the Withlacoochee River.

  • Gate Woes Continue: Our Maintenance and IT teams have been working non-stop to repair all three gates. They’ve encountered a few snags and will be diving deeper into the issue. Thank you so much for your patience as we work to resolve this as quickly as possible.

  • Important Alerts – Phone Tree Registration It has come to our attention that quite a few residents aren’t on the phone tree. Please sign up to receive very important alerts by texting Join Resident to 352-608-8593. In case of emergency, we also have a Security Line you can reach at 407-766-3536.

Thank you, as always, for your support and feedback. Here’s to a fantastic week and even more exciting news to come. See you out and about as we welcome everyone back to a full and bustling Sawmill!
